This is a Japanese typewriter believed to date from the 1940s to 1950s. Manufactured by Toshiba Business Machines and Tokyo Electric. It has 36 rows of plates, each with 39 characters, fitted into a rotating drum. It includes kanji, hiragana, katakana, numbers, uppercase letters, and symbols.
There is some paint peeling, blackening, dullness, and rust, but the paper rolls up and the lines are in good working order. Please note that some of the text has been replaced.
The ink is a type that you refill into the roller, and when I added rubber stamp ink and tried typing, it printed (although it was faint because there wasn't enough ink...). The letters are arranged so that the point of the arrow will be printed.
The lever in the front, from left to right, moves the carriage to the right, locks the movement to the right, and types/spaces. I don't know how practical it will be because I don't understand all of the functions, but I hope you'll enjoy it while understanding that.
