MARUNO Top-Pan Balance

It's a beautifully aged top-pan balance. The label says "Inspected in 1953," but judging from the label and paint, it looks more like 1953 than 1978.

I'm not sure what material the base is made of, but the surface warping and cracks in the paint give it a very nice look. There is some rust and tarnish, but no severe stains. The plates on the left and right are gone, but just having it on display is still a treat for the eyes.
