Mapelec Amiens Cast Iron Lamp

This Mapelec Amiens light fixture from France was used in a factory. Its angled shape and screw holes at the base suggest it was intended for wall mounting.

The glass is unusually pale purple, but I've never seen a purple-tinted glass dome from this manufacturer, so perhaps it contains manganese oxide and has been exposed to UV rays for a long time, causing the discoloration. Either way, it's an interesting piece.

The bulb size is E-26, and the plug and cord have been replaced with new ones. To replace the bulb, remove the three flathead screws.
