This square lamp from Mamoru Industries is a battery-powered lamp that was produced from the early Showa period as an alternative to kerosene or candle-powered bicycle lamps, and we believe this item likely dates to the 1920s or 1930s.
The box is in fairly good condition, although the lid and sides are torn. Since it's an unused item, the instruction manual is included inside the lamp. To open it, lift the front of the handle and remove the panel on the bulb side.
The batteries used are large and special, so it cannot be used as is, but you can modify it and use it, and since it is in good, unused condition, it could also be used as a collectible.
