This vintage American lamp features a height-adjustable stand and an aluminum shade. The underside of the stand is made of cast iron, giving the lamp a sleek overall look. The socket is inscribed with "H&H" and the bottom of the stand is inscribed with "M. BRANDT & SONS INC.", but the manufacturer and other details are unknown.
There was a lot of rust on the cast iron legs, so we polished it off. The socket and shade have also been polished to a degree that does not damage the texture, but please note that there may be scratches and dents.
Although no damage was found that would impede use, the wiring has been replaced with new ones (the switch is the original). It has passed PSE inspection, so you can safely use it with a household outlet. The bulb size is E-26.
This type of lighting, without unnecessary decoration, seems to have been used primarily for business purposes, such as in medical settings and photo studios. For this reason, the cord and plug are made of heavy-duty rubber. The overall look doesn't have a stylish feel, but that makes it a light that can be used without feeling pretentious.
