Base metal

This is a tool called a daigane, which is used in shoemaking and repair. The base is made from a processed log, and although it is pale in color, it has interesting cracks and knots.

There is some damage such as rust on the iron parts, scratches and stains on the base, holes and cracks, but the iron parts have been polished and then finished with beeswax.

You can display it as it is, or use it as a hat stand or accessory display. It weighs just over 5kg, so it could also be used as a door stopper.
