Letter Scale

I was able to source a nicely designed letter scale, probably French or German, dating from the 1930s or earlier.

The tarnished gold parts are brass, and the rest is iron. There is some paint peeling, some rust, and the top plate is slightly tilted, but the damage is not severe.

The scale is marked in 5-gram increments and can measure up to 500 grams. I tried measuring various things with things I had on hand, and it was able to measure fairly accurately, with an error of around ±5 grams. It's quite practical for rough measurements while displaying it .
