LEAD Japan Finish Hand-Crank Toy Sewing Machine

This is a hand-crank sewing machine from LEAD (Nakajima All), a company founded in 1923 and also known for its typewriters. It's small, and while the case and other parts are gone, it's a rare copper-plated (Japan finish) machine. We estimate it dates from the 1930s or 1940s.

Although it has been cleaned, there is still some rust and tarnish. Please also note that the paint on the base is peeling.

I've oiled it and there seems to be no problem with the handle turning and the needle going up and down, but there is a slight catch. Also, I can't tell if all the parts are there, so this is for people who can fix it themselves or who don't mind .
