This small wooden plate, made of Kuchiki lacquer, was once a Shiga Prefecture craft. It probably dates to the end of the Edo period. It is about 9cm in diameter and features a chrysanthemum flower pattern.
The lacquer on some of the plates is starting to peel off, so they might be difficult to use as dessert plates, but they would be perfect for storing beads or accessories.
Items with significant damage (peeling lacquer) will be discounted.
