This is a mason jar from the Original series by Kilner, a British company that has been making food storage jars since its founding in 1842.
Currently, Kilner mason jars use lids that have a thin metal lid + ring structure, similar to Ball and other brands, but the Original series uses a glass lid that is fastened with a metal ring.
The Original Series was manufactured between 1932 and 1948, so it's fairly old, but it's in good condition with no noticeable cracks, stains, or other damage. However, please note that there may be some minor scratches and cloudiness due to years of use, a small chip on the inside of the glass lid, and peeling plating on the metal ring.
The size is 2 lb (2 pounds), but the actual capacity is about 850 ml. Because the glass is thick, it is quite heavy compared to a mason jar of the same size (about 700-750 g).
The containers are kept in a clean condition that is practical for practical use, so we hope you will enjoy using them to store coffee beans, tea leaves, sweets, seasonings, and more.
