Kilner Dual Purpose Jar

Kilner is a long-established British manufacturer founded in 1842. It was acquired in the 1930s and manufacturing was later separated into a separate company, but the Kilner brand continues to this day.

The Dual Purpose series was manufactured by United Glass Containers from 1969 to 1978. The opening is the same size as the American widemouth, making it easy to clean the inside.

The lid is a thin metal disc that fastens with a ring, and has a rubber seal on the inside for a tight seal.

There is damage to the lid and ring, so it is not suitable for storing liquids, but for those who are used to it, it is recommended for storing coffee beans, tea leaves, sweets, seasonings, etc.

There are two designs, and although the size and shape are the same, the lettering on the lid and the side of the bottle is different. The lid of B is in good condition, so the price is slightly different, and A appears to have a slightly greenish color depending on the light.
