Kerr Glass Manufacturing Corporation, founded in 1903 as a company dealing in storage jars, is now a subsidiary of a larger company and is a somewhat obscure sister brand of Ball. However, the company's contributions to the mason jar industry, including the development of innovative lids, are significant.

The Self Sealing series was produced for a very long period of time and has a wide variety of variations, but judging from the embossed lettering on the side and bottom, we estimate this bottle to be from the 1920s.
Kerr began manufacturing its own jars in 1909, but the quality was not consistent until the early 1920s, so they are often wrinkled and distorted. Kerr's early jars tend to fluoresce under ultraviolet light, and we have confirmed that this product also fluoresces.
There are some stains on the inside of the glass that are difficult to remove, and a small chip on the top, but no other damage is apparent. The lid has been replaced in later years, but it is a genuine Kerr product with no significant rust and is in excellent condition.

You can enjoy using it as a small item holder or flower vase, or even to store coffee beans, tea leaves, sweets, and seasonings.
