Kerr Glass Manufacturing Corporation, founded in 1903 as a company dealing in storage jars, is now a subsidiary of a larger company and is a somewhat obscure sister brand of Ball. However, it has made significant contributions to the industry, including developing innovative lids.
This is an early Kerr jar with the word Economy in the logo, and based on the text on the bottom, it is believed to have been produced between 1915 and the 1920s. We have three in stock: A, B, and C. A and B have clear glass, while C has a very pale yellowish tint.
All are in good condition, with no significant damage except for some minor scratches, except for C, which has a slight cloudiness on the interior wall.
The lid was originally not a screw-on type, but rather a round disc secured by a metal band, but the lid no longer remains.
Although it doesn't have a lid, it can be used in a variety of ways, such as as a pen holder, cutlery stand, vase, candle base, or small item holder.
By the way, the lettering on the bottom of the A should read "KERR GLASS MFG CORP SAND SPRINGS OK," but the "P" in "SPRINGS" is missing, so it reads "SRINGS." This is likely a manufacturing error in the mold, but these jars are called error jars and are very rare.
Size : Diameter 9.5cm, height 10cm
Delivery
60 size
Caution : Please be careful as the product cannot withstand sudden heating or cooling and may be damaged.
