Carbide lamp junk

This is a carbide lamp with a frame that holds the upper and lower layers together. The top layer is filled with water and the bottom layer with carbide. The water dripping from the top layer reacts with the carbide to produce acetylene gas, which then ignites to create the lamp. Unfortunately, the top and bottom layers are stuck together and cannot be removed, so this item is priced accordingly.

There is a rustling sound when you shake it, probably due to carbide residue remaining in the lower layer. We have tried to polish the surface as much as possible, but please be aware that some rust and dullness may remain.
