Jenkins Bros Jar Rubbers (Rubber Gasket / Regular Mouth)

The lids used on current Ball and Kerr mason jars have rubber on the inside, which makes them fit snugly against the mouth of the jar to maintain an airtight seal. However, the zinc caps used in the past were not as airtight as modern ones, so a rubber ring (rubber gasket) was provided as a replacement part.

This product is manufactured by Jenkins Bros. Although it is an older product, it has been kept in good, unused condition and shows no signs of deterioration or hardening. However, please note that there may be some rubber residue, discoloration, or powdery surface.

The mason jars that can be fitted are as follows:

・Regular mouth-sized mason jars from various American manufacturers ・Regular mouth-sized wire mason jars ・Canadian Crown and Corona mason jars ・UK Kilner Original series

It's easy to use; just unfold the ring and attach it to the mouth of the jar. However, please note that it is a tight fit. If you have an old cap, you can attach a rubber gasket to improve the airtightness, so if you use the jar to store food such as pickles, jam, coffee beans, or sweets, we recommend trying it.
