This wooden card holder has a "Mamiya Shoten" plate on it. I think it's quite rare to find a drawer like this made of wood in Japan.
It can store B7 size documents (12.8 x 9.1 cm), which are often used for receipts, and the drawer comes with a sliding holder. The color is dark brown, giving it a rather solid impression overall, but the front of the top has been rubbed and is lighter in color.
There are some missing wooden nails and some paint on the back, but the inside is in very good condition and the clamp slides smoothly.
The plate reads "Specializing in Library Supplies and Office Supplies" (with the "hi" in lowercase), but the word "phi" probably didn't exist in Japanese at the time. This is an item that gives you a sense of the times.
