This hanging lantern is believed to be from the early Showa period. The glass is clear and the shade is anodized aluminum. A 1.5cm wide flat wick is included. The wick is easy to insert.

The shade has some scratches, tarnish, and deformation, the wire is rusty, and the glass surface is slightly cloudy, but the damage is not severe. I think kerosene was originally used, but I recommend paraffin oil, which does not produce soot and has no distinctive smell.

Note
Filling the oil tank to the brim will cause it to leak, so keep the oil supply to about 8 minutes and be careful not to shake it too much. Also, be careful not to extend the wick too far, as this will cause soot to form.
