This insulator is made by Illinois Electric Porcelain Co. and is thought to be from the early 1900s. The shape is called a side tie style, which is a relatively orthodox insulator shape that is also made by other manufacturers.
The color is dark brown. There is a chip at the bottom, small scratches and stains, and the glaze on the surface has lost its luster, but there is no other damage. The inside has been thoroughly cleaned.
