Small Nipopo doll

We have a large collection of older Nipopo dolls from the 1970s. This is the second largest doll in stock, but it is only 6.3cm tall.

Nipopo dolls are hand-carved one by one from locust trees that grow naturally in Hokkaido by inmates at Abashiri Prison. They are said to be modeled after a god who grants wishes, and just looking at their quiet, closed-eyed expressions will bring you peace of mind.

It has been stored in a case so it is in good condition .
