This is a specimen of the Sakadachikonohanabushi insect, known for standing on its head when threatened. This insect is generally green, but this specimen is thought to be a rare yellow specimen.
Its length from the tip of its head (not including its antennae) to the tip of its tail is about 14.5cm. Because it's a specimen, you can take your time to look at it, but if you saw it perched on a screen door, you'd be shocked.
The case is made of a black wooden box with an acrylic panel attached with black tape. Please note that there may be small scratches or scuffs on the case, discoloration or dust on the inside of the case, and cloudiness on the inside of the acrylic panel.
