We have received a shipment of Hazel-Atlas jelly glasses in excellent condition for the first time in a while.

Hazel-Atlas Glass Company was a large manufacturer known not only for mason jars but also for producing milk glass tableware. After being acquired by Brockway Glass, production continued into the 1960s and 1970s, but this item is believed to have been manufactured between 1923 and 1956 based on the mark on the bottom and the original box.

Jelly glasses are a type of mason jar, but unlike regular mason jars, their lids don't screw on, but simply snap on. Originally, jelly glasses were not sealed with a lid, but were filled with jam or other liquid, and then wax was poured in to harden and seal.

This item has been stored for a long time without being used much, and its condition is beyond compare. The plating on the lid is still in good condition, and the glass itself is in excellent condition with almost no scratches. However, please note that there is some rust on the lid (there is less rust on the underside of the lid).

Since the lid is not airtight, it is not suitable for storing food, but it can be used to store accessories, cotton balls, and bagged sweets, or it can also be used as a flower vase or candle vase.

Size: Lid diameter 8.6cm, height 5.5cm
