GE Small Desk Lamp

This is a very rare desk lamp, not only because it is small but also because the base has an elaborate design. The shade is also unusual, being made of steel instead of aluminum. It is heavy despite its small size and has a nice texture.

The switch has "GE CO." written on it, so I thought it was an American lamp, but the bottom has "Matsu 101" written on it, so the base may be Japanese. The design seems to be from around the 1930s.

There is a slight amount of red rust all over the item, but it has only been wiped clean and has not been polished. Please note that there may also be small scratches and some paint peeling.

The plug and cord have been replaced with new ones. The bulb used is E26, but a regular size bulb will not balance well with the shade (see the last photo), so we recommend a smaller one (sold separately) .
