A mortar used for grinding and mixing medicines. Most mortars are made of white porcelain, but this one is made of glass with legs.
The size is an adult teacup, with a spout. There are wrinkles and bubbles inside the glass, as well as small chips on the inside of the rim and at the base of the spout. The pestle is large, but it may have been replaced in later years.
There are some small scratches and stains on the frosted glass, but it has been cleaned to a degree that does not damage it. There are still few manufacturers that make glass mortars, so if you are looking for one, this is the one for you.
