GE USNAVY aircraft tachometer

This is a tachometer used in US Navy aircraft. It was manufactured by General Electric and has a lot of patina on the side, so the case is probably brass.

I imagine it's probably from the 1940s, but the plate has the contract number and other information written on it, so it might be interesting to look into it.

It looks nice, so you can display it by itself, or place it among books or CDs. It tilts slightly, so try adjusting it with paper or a small piece of wood. I think the dirt in the grooves adds to the charm, so I only wiped the surface to a certain extent.
