This is an old birdcage from France. It's a simple wooden box with wire running through the front, but I think its charm lies in its rough, unpolished construction. The twisted wire attached to the top is also adorable.
Please note that the bird has only been wiped clean, and traces of its habitat will remain. The interior is completely dry and odorless. The center of the wire was originally designed to be able to open and close, but it appears to have become fixed when the crack was repaired, so it can no longer be opened or closed.
You can display it as it is, or it might be interesting to install lighting inside.
