These mason jars are from Forster's Glass Company in the UK. Forster is a long-established manufacturer that was founded in 1905 and continued until it was acquired by Rockware Glass in 1966.

The bottle features a glass lid secured with a metal ring, just like the old Kilner bottles, making it very practical even today. This type of lid ensures that the contents of the bottle only come into contact with the glass, making it safe for storing food.

The size of the opening and the metal ring are the same as or similar to those of the Kilner Original and UGB, and it seems that there was a standardization of the designs during this period.

It was likely manufactured in the 1940s or 1950s. The glass surface shows some cloudiness due to storage, but has already been cleaned. Since it is unused, there are almost no small scratches. The metal ring on the lid has some peeling plating, but there is no rust. The rubber gasket is slightly deformed, but there are no cracks or hardening, and it is in usable condition.

The glass is thick and quite heavy. The size is 2 lb (2 pounds), but the actual capacity is about 760 ml.

It comes with a practical lid and a rubber gasket, so you can use it with confidence, ensuring airtightness. It can be used as a small item holder or to display dried flowers, and for those who are more experienced, it is also recommended for storing coffee beans, tea leaves, sweets, seasonings, and more.

Size : Diameter 9.3cm, height 19cm, capacity 760ml
