This is a special frame that was used to make contact prints. Contact prints are made by cutting the film, arranging it on photographic paper, and printing it to make it easier to see the images. This frame is used to hold the film and photographic paper firmly in place during the printing process.

The back panel is divided into two parts and the fasteners are unique, but the basic structure is the same as a typical photo frame, so you can display whatever you like, such as photos or postcards. The size of the inner frame is slightly larger than a postcard.

There is no indication of the maker, but judging from the shape of the back, it is presumed to be from E. & HT Anthony & Company around 1900. As it was made in such an ancient time, there are scratches and discoloration on the frame and rust on the fasteners, but there is no other damage and it can be said to be in good condition considering its age.
