It's hard to tell because it's dark gray, but it's probably a copper carbide lamp. It has two layers, with water on top and carbide on the bottom. The water dripping from the top layer reacts with the carbide to produce acetylene gas, which ignites and turns into a lamp.
There are no markings on it, so I don't know the manufacturer or the age, but I think it's from around the 1950s. The lower part of the upper layer is made of iron, and there was some red rust, so I polished it off to some extent. There are also some dents and some carbide burnt remains inside, but it's not too badly damaged. I haven't checked whether it has been burned.
