This compact tool combines a compass, inclinometer, and level. It is used for geological surveys and when assembling structures.
Newer models are made of stainless steel, but this one has a wooden body and is probably from the 1960s.
Both ends of the compass and the area around the glass are reinforced with brass. The heart-shaped needle inside the compass is an inclinometer, and the inner scale is for measuring inclination. The small lever underneath the compass is supposed to be a stopper for the magnetic needle and inclinometer, but it does not function.
Although there is some blackening and some rust, it is not severely damaged and is still in good working condition.
