This small stoneware mug has two lines, one brown and one dark brown, along the bottom. It's a grayish off-white (or light gray) with a fine grain pattern. The handle is one or two fingers wide, and the mug holds about 270ml when filled to the brim.
The condition is very good, with very few scratches and in very good condition. However, please note that there may be some small grains or irregularities that may have been present during manufacturing.
During the period of rapid economic growth in the 1960s and 1970s, various manufacturers produced large quantities of tableware in Japan and shipped it to the United States. Among these, "CONTEMPORARY Chateau" is one that is seen quite often, and one might imagine that it was made by a major company, but since it is called "YAMAKA" locally, we imagine that it was probably made by Yamaka Shoten.
Compared to thick diner mugs, this vintage mug has a larger capacity for its size, and is light and easy to handle, making it a great choice for female customers.
Regarding handling of stoneware
Stoneware is durable, non-absorbent, and microwave-safe. The stamp on the bottom reads "FREEZER TO OVEN DISHWASHER SAFE," so it can withstand sudden temperature changes and be used in the dishwasher.
Size : Outer diameter of mouth: 8.3cm, height: 8cm, weight: 210-230g, capacity: 270ml
Delivery
60 size
Notes: <br>We have excluded items that are difficult to use or have major damage such as chips or cracks in the opening, but please be aware that these are old items that have actually been used and therefore are not new or perfect items without any defects.
