We have a large shipment of Buffalo Pottery plates in stock. Buffalo Pottery was founded in 1901 by the soap manufacturer Larkin Company. Initially, they only supplied soap dishes, but later expanded their business to include tableware for hotels, railroad companies, the military, and many other customers.
This item had been used in a restaurant and had many scratches, but was priced very cheaply. There were no chips or noticeable stains, so it didn't bother me personally, but I would recommend that customers who are not used to old tableware avoid it.
They are slightly deep, so they can also be used to serve curry, pasta, pilaf, or side dishes. They were manufactured in the 1980s, and although they all have the same shape and size, there are two different stamps on the bottom.
