Birmingham Engineering Co. Small marine lighting

This brass lamp is made by Birmingham Engineering Co., a British manufacturer that specialized in marine lighting. It's unfortunate that there's a crack in the glass, but the beautiful shape and texture of the brass make it a truly exceptional piece.

I imagine that it was originally used by fixing it to a wall or ceiling, but since the other end of the cord is curled up, you may want to use it lying flat, or consider a way to attach it to the wall more neatly.

There are some scratches, tarnish, and some rust (patina), but overall it is in good condition. The bulb used is a B15. The cord and plug have been replaced with new ones, so it is ready to use. To replace the bulb, remove the screw on the back and remove the plate, but please note that the interior is narrow and difficult to access.
