BING & GRONDAHL Large Polar Bear

This polar bear figurine is from Bing & Grondahl, a historic Danish porcelain manufacturer. Bing & Grondahl merged with Royal Copenhagen in 1987, but this piece dates from 1970-1982, before the merger. The designer is Niels Nielson.

The body is almost pure white, with a pale blue from the nose to the eyes, and beige legs and belly. The unevenness of the body and the texture of the fur are also well expressed.

There are some small scratches and slight stains on the bottom of the feet, but they are not noticeable and no serious damage is seen. In the third photo, there is a black mark on the left hind foot, but it has been removed nicely.
Small polar bears are also available.
