This is a light made by attaching a socket and cord to an old bicycle light. It was originally an oil lamp and comes with a wick holder. It dates back to the Taisho to early Showa period. There are what appear to be letters on the bottom, but they are unreadable. There are glass windows on both sides, with the right side green and the left side red, just like on ships and airplanes.
The material is unusually brass, and while there is no noticeable rust, there are some small scratches and discoloration. The cord is just under 3 meters long and has an ON/OFF switch. The bulb size is E12. To replace it, remove the hook on the left and open the front cover.
