Ball Jar has been making food storage jars since 1884 and is now loved around the world. Due to its long history, many models have been produced, but this product is part of the Perfect Mason series, which was produced from 1910 to 1962.
The bottle is cylindrical, with sharper corners than later series. The logo indicates that it was produced between 1923 and 1933, but this type of angular design is quite rare.
Due to its age, there are small scratches on the glass surface and a small dent on the left side. I also tried carefully polishing the inside with a special abrasive, but I was unable to remove the white cloudiness.
The lid is a zinc cap with milk glass fitted on the inside, and although there was a little white rust, it has been polished off and the rust will not fall off in pieces.
The cloudy glass may be a concern for many customers, but it is not something that will stain or dissolve, so I personally think it would be fun to use it to store coffee beans, tea leaves, seasonings, sweets, etc. If you replace the lid with a clean one, the range of uses will expand.
