Ball Jar has been making food storage jars since 1884 and is now loved around the world. With such a long history, many models have been produced, but this is a smaller product in the Perfect Mason series.
Perfect Mason was manufactured for a long period from 1910 to 1962, but this jar is quite old, having been manufactured between 1922 and 1933.
The color of the glass is different from that of the reproduction version, and is derived from the components of the lake water used in the manufacturing process at the time. The lid is an old, thin metal cap of this type.
The capacity is approximately 440ml up to the line under the lid. The condition is affected by a chip in the opening and a crack in the milk glass on the inside of the lid, which are reflected in the price, but I think it's sufficient for use as a vase or small item holder. Of course, you can display it as is, or enjoy it with a candle inside . You could also replace the lid with a clean one and use it to store sweets, coffee beans, etc. The opening is a regular mouth size.
