Ball jars have been making storage jars since 1884 and are now loved around the world. Because of their long history, many different models have been produced, but this particular jar is an older model that was manufactured between 1898 and 1910.
These models don't have a series name, but they feature a bullet-like shape and a muted aqua blue glass. Compared to the Perfect Mason series, which will be introduced later, this one has a slightly greener hue. The glass has a unique texture, with wrinkles and bubbles visible.
Interestingly, the word "Ball" has disappeared from this product, likely due to wear off the surface. I have handled products with faint embossing before, but this is the first time I've seen it completely gone.
In terms of condition, there are some scratches and the lid is dull, and the lid is a little stiff, but it has been thoroughly cleaned inside and out, and the lid has been polished to remove the white rust.
It can be used as a small item holder, a vase, or to store candles, or you can replace the lid and use it to store sweets, coffee beans, etc. The opening is the size of a regular mouth.
