This rubber gasket is specifically designed for wide-mouth wire-type mason jars, including the Ball Eclipse Jar.
This rubber ring is a genuine Ball product. Although it is vintage, it is unused and has no signs of wear or deterioration. The size is suitable for Ball jars and other wide mouth jars (it can also be attached to jars other than wire jars).
It's easy to use; just unfold the ring and attach it to the mouth of the jar. However, please note that it is a tight fit. If you have an older cap, you can attach a rubber gasket to improve the airtightness, so if you are using it to store food such as pickles, jam, coffee beans, or sweets, we recommend giving it a try.
