Ball Improved Mason Jar 32oz 1898-1910

Ball jars have been making food storage jars since 1884 and are loved all over the world. Because of their long history, many models have been produced, and this jar is part of the Improved series.

The Improved series was manufactured from 1898 to the 1930s, and this is one of the earliest models. Its bullet-like shape is similar to the Ball Mason from the same era, and the glass is a dull aqua blue. Compared to the Perfect Mason series, which came later, this one has a slightly greener hue.

The glass surface is in good condition with few scratches, but there is a thin chip on the bottom (no water leakage). The lid has pen marks and tarnish, but the white rust has been polished off.

It can be used as a small item holder, a vase, or to store candles, or you can replace the lid and use it to store sweets, coffee beans, etc. The opening is the size of a regular mouth.
