Aztec Obsidian Statue

This warrior statue is made from yellowish golden obsidian, a material mined in Mexico. Obsidian has been used in various aspects of daily life in Central America since ancient times.

This item is likely from around the 1970s, and although it is unfortunate that the top of the head is missing, the natural stone that appears to be a fire opal is inlaid in the forehead, which makes it a valuable item. There are also some small chips, but it is perfect for someone who will cherish it.
