This is an early mason jar from the Strong Shoulder series, which Atlas has been producing for a very long time.
Atlas (Hazel-Atlas Glass Company) was a large manufacturer formed by the merger of Atlas Glass and Hazel Glass in 1902. It was known for producing not only mason jars but also milk glass tableware, and was eventually acquired by Brockway Glass, but continued production until the 1960s and 1970s.
This is an old piece, dating back to the 1919-1920s. It's a vibrant blue and a large 64oz glass. Atlas is a manufacturer of high-quality glassware, but even at this age, some of the glass's characteristics, such as bubbles, wrinkles, and ripples, are evident.
There are some scratches and a chip on the top, and a slight cloudiness on the interior wall, but other than that there is no major damage and it is in good condition considering its age. The lid is a genuine Atlas product. The glass has been cleaned inside and out, and the lid has been polished to remove as much white rust as possible.
There are many ways to enjoy it. You can use it to store small items or as a vase, or fill it with dried flowers or nuts for decoration. If you're used to old jars, we recommend replacing the lid with a new one and using it to store rice, cereal, short pasta, pet food, and more. The opening is the same size as the current Regular Mouth.
Size : Base diameter approx. 12cm, height approx. 23.7cm
Delivery
100 size
Caution : Please be careful as the product cannot withstand sudden heating or cooling and may be damaged.
