Art Specialty Co. Gooseneck Desk Lamp

This desk lamp is made by Art Specialty Company, a Chicago company founded in 1932. It uses two fluorescent tubes and is quite bright, so I imagine it dates back to the 1940s.

The shade has a rounded design and comes with a switch. Red is ON, black is OFF. Although it has been maintained, there may be occasional issues with poor contact and the light may not light up.

Although there is some rust and peeling paint, it has an outstanding presence. It can be difficult to turn when installing or removing fluorescent lights, but its charm more than makes up for this.
