Apsco 'Vacu Hold' Pencil Sharpener

This is an Apsco (Automatic Pencil Sharpener Co.) pencil sharpener that appears to be from around the 1960s .

Tighten the lever to secure the unit to the desk surface, hold the pencil in one hand, and turn the handle with the other. It's different from Japanese pencil sharpeners, which hold the pencil in place, but it sharpens the pencil very neatly and sharply. To discard the shavings, turn the beige case to the left and remove it.

Although there are some scratches and black spots, the blade has been polished and the body has been cleaned. There is no visible damage that would interfere with use. You will need a smooth surface, such as a steel desk, to make the body stick to it, but you can still sharpen it by holding the pencil and sharpener in one hand and turning the handle with the other.
