Japanese Masterpieces, Complete 10 Collections, 100 Western Paintings, Sanichi Shobo, 1965-66

This large-format book features 100 selected Japanese Western-style films, each with an accompanying commentary. Compared to famous foreign films, many Japanese works are still relatively unknown, so why not take this opportunity to study as well?

Each work is pasted on a thick mount, with an explanation of the artist and the work on the opposite page. There are supposed to be 100 works in total across 10 volumes, with 10 works per volume, but since Yoshio Mori's "Woman with Elbows" and Kaoru Yamaguchi's "Trees with Remaining Snow" from volume 6 are missing, there are only 98 works in total. The works are bound in a linen woven hard case, which is then bound in a cardboard case.

The size of the pieces is approximately 36 x 28 cm, but they all vary (there are some pieces with unusual sizes). Please see the photos for specific pieces.

The outer cardboard case may be slightly dirty, but the contents are in good condition. Please note that due to the nature of the material, pieces of linen fiber may remain. Also, please note that the clasp on the case may be detached or the thread may be broken.
