The Swiss Paillard Hermes 3000 and Hermes Media 3 typewriters, which Capote called "the Rolls Royce of typewriters," were finally cleaned and uploaded today.
It's functional and beautifully designed, and there's no other typewriter like this in its color and shape than Hermes. It's no wonder it had so many fans among designers and architects.
By the way, the later models of the Hermes 3000 and media 3 also had a design based on straight lines, while the previous model, the 2000, also had a straight line design. Only the models from 1958 to 1966 had a rounded design without any corners.
Both are in good condition, with some dirt remaining but no major damage. Although they cannot be disassembled for maintenance, the ink ribbon has been replaced with a new one, so they are of course still usable.
It's common for this model to cost over 50,000 yen on eBay, so if you're interested, be sure to check the price.
