Central American pottery

On a scorching hot Monday, I didn't think there would be many people brave enough to venture to the east side of Tokyo across the Sumida River, and my expectations were not disappointed. It was the last business day of July, and I was engrossed in photographing products. Please note that we will be closed for the summer holidays from tomorrow, July 30th (Tuesday) to August 6th (Tuesday), so please be careful.

Today we are uploading pottery from Central America.

Some of our ancestors crossed the Bering Strait and built a civilization on the vast American continent, and the things they created made their way all the way to Japan, where we can now hold and look at these things. It really touches the heart.

While there is a large fan base for Native American items from North America, the attention on items from Central and South America drops dramatically. But perhaps that's what makes them so fun. While we're not a specialist, we've sourced some great items.
