This is a bamboo basket from Laos that has grown to a glossy amber color. It looked like a hatchet case, but there are no blade marks to be seen, so it must be a fish basket for holding caught fish. It is a wonderful piece of delicate handiwork. I hope you will enjoy placing a small cup inside and arranging flowers in it.
