Great texture

Please note that we will be closed on Tuesday, November 21st.

Today I've uploaded four items with great texture.

Railway rails

This is a rare piece of cut railroad track that has been further used as a workbench. With patches of rust and mostly peeling paint, I've never seen a more interesting piece of railroad track.

Rusty rebar

The rebar has been battered by the waves and exposed to ultraviolet rays, and it seems to have reached its limit. The surface is cracked and floating in places, giving it the texture of a tree branch.

upper plate balance

I'm not sure what material it is made of, but the warping on the surface and cracks in the paint give it a very nice look.

Storehouse lantern

This is a lantern (andon) that was used in a storehouse. It probably dates from the late Edo period to the Meiji period. It has a two-piece structure with a wire cover attached to the base.
