The small stools used by dairy farmers when milking cows have long been loved and known as milking stools or Bergé stools, and have also been a source of inspiration for designers.
There are three such chairs. They are all French chairs from the 1940s to 1950s, and they all have three legs to ensure stability even on uneven surfaces.
