Antique platter

We will be stocking our second- and third-tier products that we are unable to upload to the online store at clearance prices for two days, August 31st (Sat) and September 1st (Sun). Our store is small, so we have no choice but to do this to secure space. We hope you will keep your schedules open. We will introduce specific products at a later date, so please look forward to it.

Today, I will continue with the old European tableware that I posted a while ago. I will introduce two large plates.

Brown-Westhead, Moore & Co. Oval Platter

This large oval plate was made by Brown-Westhead, Moore & Co., a British company founded in 1856. The date stamp on the bottom is blurred, making it difficult to read, but it was undoubtedly made between the 1850s and 1880s. It has one noticeable dent, but otherwise is in good condition.

Ridgway & Morley Platter

This Chinoiserie plate bearing the British royal coat of arms was probably made by Morley, Wear & Co. or Ridgway & Morley in the 1840s.

It has been heavily used, and you can see that the pattern underneath the glass has been worn away in places. There are also a lot of stains, so I wouldn't recommend using it as tableware, but I think it would look great with a piece of paper on it, and with sweets, fruit, or accessories on it.
